ORANGE JUICE

When oranges are pressed

nothing is wasted. The juice is extracted, the oils are obtained and the remaining pulp is made into pellets. These pellets are sold as an animal feed ingredient. The oil essences and aromas are procured by the flavor and fragrance industries.

Brazil and the US are the main producers of orange juice and also our prime suppliers. Florida supplies about 75% of North American consumption and Brazil supplies the rest. Brazil’s primary market is the EU. Brazil’s production is marketed and sold to the rest of the world. It is in the emerging markets that growth is most spectacular. And we are strongly involved in these marketing and sales and distribution activities.

Our success in the global fruit juice business is the result of our extensive physical assets and efficient and proven supply chain. Our asset base includes 6 modern and advanced processing facilities in Brazil and the US and distribution terminals spread out globally.
