are full of vitamins, minerals, protein, and fiber, and have a number of health benefits. Just a handful of almonds include one-eighth of our daily protein needs. Besides they are a great snack and have extensive use in cooking and bakery products. So our marketing efforts are nearly superflous.

  2. Spain: $596.3 million (9.5%)
  3. Australia: $351.1 million (5.6%)
  4. Hong Kong: $215.5 million (3.4%)
  5. Germany: $114.5 million (1.8%)
  6. Netherlands: $107.3 million (1.7%)
  7. Italy: $101 million (1.6%)
  8. Turkey: $85.3 million (1.4%)
  9. Belgium: $51.4 million (0.8%)
  10. Chile: $42.4 million (0.7%)
  11. Iran: $40.7 million (0.6%)
  12. Afghanistan: $21.4 million (0.34%)
  13. France: $17.6 million (0.28%)
  14. Syria: $14.8 million (0.24%)
  15. United Kingdom: $14.7 million (0.23%)

These 15 countries shipped 97.6% of total almonds exports in 2018 by value.

The fastest-growing almonds exporters since 2013 were: Benin (up 2,544%), Portugal (up 221.6%), Afghanistan (up 153.3%) and Hong Kong (up 110.7%).
