ICUMSA 150 sugar is refined white sugar. Not quite as refined as ICUMSA 45, but it is certainly food grade and used in the production off foodstuffs where the refining requirements for sugar are lower than those required for sugar for direct use by consumers.
It has a wide range of industrial applications: white crystal sugar is used as a body agent and as a sweetener in the food industry, for instance for the sweetening of soft drinks, candy, confectionary, pastries, chocolates etc.
Also, it has a lower cost than Icumsa 45 white sugar.​
